Live From the Mercury Lounge is a sound board recording of a 1995 performance at the Mercury Lounge in New York City. The spirit of the performance more than makes up for the reduced sound quality. Maybe...
From the CD liner notes:
"On a sultry New York evening in August of 1995, Martin Zellar took pity on a homeless gentleman passed out on the sidewalk in front of a Korean grocery. Zellar graciously offered the man five dollars, a small bag of Chex Mix (original flavor) and half a bottle of Malt Duck in exchange for taping his band's performance that night at The Mercury Lounge. It was a fateful gesture. What was captured is widely regarded by musical historians to be one of the greatest rock and roll performances of this - or any other - century. Enjoy... This CD is available as a download only, and only through this site.
